A Brief History

Later Sea Point was a seaside resort where Cape Townians had their holidays. Since the 1950s it has been developed into one of the most densely populated suburbs in South Africa, lending it a chic, urban feel.

Along the famous promenade, Green Point Lighthouse is the oldest lighthouse in South Africa.

Sea Point is known as a suburb that never sleeps. Café society, clubbers and food lovers flock to trendy cafés, clubs, lounges, bars and restaurants with music and cuisine as diverse as their patrons. Many are open all night.

Places to be seen include Harveys at the Mansion, Caturra Coffee Shop and 3Thirteen.
